How to apply the BalcoNano® coating

The sachets have two parts, a “cleaner” and “coating”, each material is contained in the sachet soaked in a fabric similar to a “wet wipe”. Just rip the sachet open and pull out the fabric and it is ready to use.

Use the BalcoNano® sachets on your glass windows, shower glass, externally on the windscreen of your car or in fact on any glass or silica based product.

Here is how to apply: (each sachet set is suitable for appx 1 square metre of coating

1.      Clean the surface you wish to coat well with water to remove dust, smudges, etc. –the cleaner the surface you start with the better the coating will be

2.      Dry the surface with a paper cloth.

3.      Open sachet No 1 “cleaner” and take out the impregnate cloth

4.      Wet the surface with the “cleaner” cloth and polish until the surface is completely dry

5.      Open sachet No 2 “coating” and take out the impregnate cloth

6.      Wet the surface with the “coating” cloth and polish until the surface is completely dry and free of streaks

Please avoid surface contact with water within 10min after coating process
Streak residues can be removed through polishing with a dry cloth
Do not use at ambient temperature above 50°C and below 5°C
Do not use at high air humidity (e.g. foggy, rainy)

It is important to read carefully the instructions and follow them to correctly achieve a desirable result.

The BalcoNano® reacts instantaneously when it comes in contact with glass or other silica based material.

It is very important to have a clean surface before coating, free from oils, grime, dust, water and other materials. When these are present they will inhibit the ability of the coating to bond to the surface in the place where they are present. The cleaner the surface you wish to coat, the netter the coating will be. Once the BalcoNano® coating shield has formed it will have created a permanent bond with the surface.

The surface is very durable to abrasion and scratching and can be renewed in the future by cleaning the glass and reapplying.

The coating is clear and will not chip, haze or decolour.

The coating is sensitive to high PH materials (alkaline/bases) and the use of these can damage or even remove the coating. In any case use of chemical cleaners is not required or recommended after the coating has been applied.
